:arated: Those subtle adjustments really brought that homburg to life with some great character, E.T.

G'day Tone and thanks for that. A few more subtle adjustments are needed - or maybe it's just a psychological adjustment I need to feel comfortable wearing a homburg.

Why do you ask?

I went hatless today for the first time in ages.
Man, it just doesn't feel right.

 BAN HIM!!! :p

It's okay to do that... occasionally! On days that I stay home, I usually go hatless.

Or wear something like this...

I wore my Fed IV while out running errands, but I don't have a hat I dislike enough to wear while rotating the tires on a truck. ;)

Randy

P.S that's the cord to my earbud headphones, not a hearing aid. ;-)

Well Randy, the reason for my hapless hatlessness is that I'm going out to dinner and a concert straight from work tonight - and trying to find somewhere safe to stow a lid at these venues is impossible.
So...my head is running around stark bollicking naked today.

My Brooks today...

...wrapped in photoshopped shadows! :p ;)

I was working on some images for a website when I thought about uploading today's hat photo. Well...Photoshop got the better of me and I ended up with this...

Hooray for Australia and Germany!

Way to go guys ... and Happy International Derby Day to all!

A beautiful homburg from Australia and one really classy derby from Germany!

We are bring culture class ... and dare we say, civility? ... back to our international hat culture

Time to take up the gauntlet, America! There's still plenty of time to break out the derbies, bowlers, homburgs, gamblers... anything with a rolled brim for the first Friday of the month!

need advice

I am new here, so I hope this is the correct place to post this, if not, I am sorry. I have not owned a fedora since I was a teenager. I have been looking at a Biltmore Ark at Hatplus and I would like to know more about it than their site shows. It is a decent quality hat? The price is right for me as I am on disability and funds are limited. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Here's my wear for the day which just happens to be a Biltmore offering for you Greg:

A Royal in Steel colour and I am very happy with it. The felt is nice and pliable, soft to the touch yet heavy enough to have substance

Here's the hat I'm wearing today,.....(just to keep this discussion kinda on topic:D ) It's a black Biltmore Ark from Hat'sPlus,.....probably one of my three favorite hats! The other two are vintage Borsalinos.
It's a great hat!

Eph!

Make the adjustment, mate!

That is one classy 'burg and you look terrific in it.

Did you find that locally?

Is the ribbon as striking as it looks in these shots?

That's one great lid!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Remember, EVERY first Friday of the month is International Derby Day ... derbies, bowlers, homburgs, gamblers ... anything with a rolled brim .... so you've got plenty of time to tweek that lid for the March Madness International Derby Day!
