Great shape and colour.Trip to PDX to drop off my research paper proposal for my professor. Russian History, I'm doing a 25 pager about the 1963 Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and the global peace movement led by Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling. I have access to his papers, lots of hand written correspondence to JFK and Khrushchev. Wearing my Hückel Special from the mid 1950s. Sold in the shop of the "Flying Finn" Paavo Nurmi.
I need to do some serious catching up, but the hat game is strong with my friends over the past 48 hours!!!

Glorious felt, Daniele!Springtime is speed up here in the north east part of Italy
The last chance to show this Super Flechet Century
High end formal hat made by Flechet expressly for "A. Meer" Strasbourg
Black with a unique shape as some others French hats from the period, around 1950
The felt is fantastic soft with a shining finish with short hair
The ribbon has the basting stitches because it arrived new from Strasbourg
The felt has many changes in shades when in light or in the shadow
Label under the sweatband gives indications about works
Flechet brand in deep gold and black

Thanks!! Yes. It does.. I find the color to difficult to describe. It does look brown. Given the age of the piece, it's difficult to tell the color. Vintage ribbon colors are a challenge for me. But it works! That color is wonderful! I like the contrasting ribbon, is it as dark brown as it looks?
Bob, thank you. Much appreciated. Thanks Stefan! Your hat/tie/scarf combos are spot on! (at least a couple of those have spots...)
Amazing hat, Steve. Is it really blue, or is that my screen?Janyška & Cie. "Praga" from my May 2016 NOS Czech find.
