Looks great! Nice hatband!
Today it’s the first outing for The Open Road 7x Stetson CB.
Nice hat. Love the color.View attachment 113095 View attachment 113096 View attachment 113097 View attachment 113098 View attachment 113099 View attachment 113100 Greetings All:
Thanks to each of you for the kind words on my recent posts. I truly appreciate each and every one. I can’t keep up with all of you individually.
Today it’s the first outing for The Open Road 7x Stetson CB. This is not your softy OR. The brim and crown are fairly rigid. The crease came with it. It stays. The felt is thin and pretty nice to feel. Prob 50’s??
Be well. Bowen

No real model name listed on the sweat, but an abbreviation of Antelope is on a tag under the sweat. More pics in the Austrian, Czech, etc., hat thread and good info there from Steve @mayserwegenerGreat profile on that hat Tukwila. What model is it?
Thanks all,
Michael
That looks great Fabio. Sweet job done on a sweet hat.Trying the Prada Luxo homburg after cleaning and having the brim binding replaced.

As I can't operate a sewing machine, I had to replace the binding by hand.

Such a beautiful blue color Daniele. I'm a sucker for a blue hat, this one is outstanding.During my absence, tons of fine hats have appeared, mentioning them all is a difficult undertaking, so applauding all the loungers
For the series dedicated to the French hats producers today a Meer made by Thibet that almost certainly was made before the second world war
The hat manufacturer is Thibet and I have several hats from this brand in my French collection and they are among my favourites
Almost always they were made of wool or a mixture of wool and fur
Without lining it has only an insert with the name of the Meer hats shop on the bottom of the crown
The wool is very malleable and of excellent quality. The proportions are those of forms in vogue in the twenties and thirties
I can not give you any further information because the sweatband is very dry to watch at the paper label
Have a nice day!
This is the hat that our long lost Bob goaded me into buying. The ones they had at the outlet at the time were apparently the first "prototypes"(?) of the Japanese hats. Since there was a later batch at the outlet, I think they are of the same flavor, only unmarked. Thanks, it doesn’t say Whippet anywhere and there is no mfg tag, but I think it is. It’s an outlet hat so I’m not concerned with missing tags. I should ask Mike if his says Whippet on the sweat or liner.

I like that hat more every time I see it. Should have bid you up unmercifully!Mid-week, mid-ribbon. Stetson Royal DeLuxe heather.
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Wonderful Borsalino Bob.View attachment 113031

I thank you sir!Super looking hat Mike.
The gray is called phantom, but the ribbon has cream tones to it. Interesting contrast, not for a gray suit, but not for a tan suit either...Impressive Deckard Whippet. The tall crown and contrasting ribbon make this one pop!
You rock a derby Eric. It is interesting that the company logo is on the front of the sweat instead of opposite the store logo on the side.Good white late winter morning here in Minnesota.
Dog walk in my vtg. Lee Desert Tones.
Snow blowing and shoveling snow in my warm parka and a Stormy Kromer cap. This cap is a real working wool cap at my house.
Filled bird feeders and checked on the boathouse in the hat that has involved in the western expansion in the early US - a bowler. Early 1900's Stetson bowler. Love the crown vent and tall crown. It is nice and toasty on a cold snowy morning.
Best, Eric -
Great minds...Nice hat Mike, looks a bit like one I saw somewhere else

Stay in that rut and don't run off the road!In a Rand rut...
Black hole hat. The finish looks so yummy. The Tonak is hard to photograph, but I love the way it creases (and feels) and it wears so comfortably.
Interesting. Beautiful hat.Matt Deckard headwear.
Got this in during the beaver brand liquidation. I think it was one of their bodies. Fairly coarse/unrefined felt but not bad. I like the colors and dimensions and the wide sweatband.
