Greetings HatsRme et al:
I love this color combo. How would you describe the colors? Also, how does the color look in full daylight? I ask because your’s mirrors one of mine, a favorite, but the steely greyness is hard to capture in pics. Lovely!!
Be well. Bowen

Thank you so much, Bowen! The ribbon is a silver-gray, and the felt is a distinct blue, not so gray. The colors on my screen seem pretty much right on, for a change.

That's a really nice hat. Don't lose it to the wind. That'd be a horrifying bummer.

Glad to see a nice sunny background in your life. Great looking Stetson.
Thanks Red. I need to put a new sweat in this one. I totally cooked the old one last summer. Oddly enough it's still quite comfortable to wear and grabs my head well in the wind. When I get around to that I might change out the ribbon too. And yes, some sunshine was nice. It got up to 65 or so today with a nice breeze and a lot of sun. Actually go too hot for the Carhartt and I had to drop back to just the vest and shirtsleeves.

That looks like a super collection of hats that showed up there today. Have you had to move the car out of the garage to free up more hat storage space yet?

Michael

Borsalino Nutria in mirtillo (that's "blueberry" to Englishers) for a bright morning.

Enjoy your Tuesday.

When this hat came to me I named it the Intrigue. It is a somewhat puzzling Stetson 7X clear beaver quality hat in a mode edge dress style - a little earlier than many and with some custom adaptations that are hard to pin down from where and by whom performed. It was quite dirty - I had the hat worked on at Optimo, where Graham replaced the ribbon and sweatband and cleaned the hat as best he could. It is lovely to wear, with its mysteries in tow.

That is indeed a unique hat Alan. I love it.
Beaver brand 5X in sand, and also sometimes nothing beats a nice clean open road. I am enjoying this particular wall of my garage when the sun shines. I would be remiss to make any premature claims that we have turned this seasonal corner yet though…

Great looking hat Jeff. Is it a conversion or an original fedora?

English Battersby homburg today for a trip to the post office to pick up the Holland shipment. Thought this one would be appropriate. Lots of images to catch up with later today. Pretty excited.

Great Battersby Mike, looks imposing. And quite a shipment from Holland. Looking forward to seeing them individually.

Today it’s a Vita-Felt Strat. Kinda Sandstone colored. Very lightweight, linerless from long ago. Rather nice thin felt.
Be well. Bowen
