Beautiful Resistol. Nice sharp brim edge. And those liners you do are more than great. Love them!Today is a dang good day.1st time I was able to wear a hat when I left the house since the shingles happened.1st time I put on the western weight Resistol 5X fedora.
Gorgeous looking homburg, Bob! Goes well with the coat. The Stetson Special (with a thin/thick ribbon).
A perfect match of coat and hat, Mike. Super!Strat clone by Knox. My favorite thin ribbon. New overcoat, cashmere/wool blend made in Italy.

Cool hat, Terry, and great conversion. The way that ribbon looks on that hat is just right. For TrT. Not able to take a pic today so a repost of my black Resistol Western conversion, which I'm actually wearing...
Love this picture. Makes me want to dive right in and try on all the hats.View attachment 105087
Greetings HJ:
Ha Ha. Have some more “Beach”!! Lookey no touchey.
In full disclosure i guess i lied. That one isn’t the only thinest ribbon...oops! Just the closest.
Be well. Bowen
Wonderful hat, Steve. I love the deep brown colour of it.G. A. Dunn & Co. "Austrian" Velour made by TONAK probably early 1950s and a gift from Daniele on my 01/2016 visit to Italy.
Dunn & Co. LTD. Print Die found in the Czech Republic probably used by JHS or Tonak.
Nice Dobbs backbow, Matt. Great looking felt, especially in the sunshine shots.Last time the blue Dobbs Fifteen made an appearance, it was suggested that I give it more rake.
Done.
Me likes it.
Alot.
Speaking of Blue... I missed yesterday's fun because of undertheweatherness. I've been trying to go back and review yesterday's hats, etc... Tapatalk keeps crashing on me. It's very hurtful...
My point: do we know if Blue is a dad now? If so, do we know if Baby Blue is a boy or girl?
Thanks & have fun.
Wonderful hats, both. But the colours of the whiskey one have secured my votes for today. You could be right, and I appreciate the information. But as I mentioned upthread I've done this before and it does appear to be healing as expected, so for now I'll let it. Besides, I'm stubborn and don't like seeing doctors unless I absolutely have to. That might come back to bite me on the backside one of these days, but I'll deal with it when/if the time comes.
Oh, right. To bring this back to the main topic, today was a two-hat day for me. While running errands earlier I wore "Cane's Creations #36", made by Tim Mahovich before he adopted the name Alley Kat Hat Co.. I haven't taken any new photos of this one for a while, so these photos are from 2014:
Rabbit felt in Whiskey with a 1940s-era 1-1/2" Grosgrain ribbon in a color called "Dark Coffee" (according to Tim's vendor). Crown height is 4-3/8" at the pinch and 4" at the rear; brim width is 2-3/4". By far it's my best and most favorite hat; I look forward to the day when I can afford to have Tim make me another hat.
Later in the early evening when I took our dog for his nightly walk I wore my Akubra Campdraft in Taupe Fawn. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago:
We now return to our regular thread topic, already in progress.
Very unusual colour ribbon. I like it!Happy Groundhog Day.

Have a swell, hullaboorific day, everyone.
Great looking St. Regis, Richard. Keep those homburgs coming.Homburg Hullabaloo Royal Stetson DeLuxe

Fantastic Mallory, Mike. The ribbon just a touch lighter gives it a nice contrast.Seems like Friday is a good day for a Homburg Hullabaloo, ending the week with some class. So, the Mallory Ten gets the ride today. Crazy warm for the dead of winter here in Oregon, so the overcoat from yesterday will have to stay home. Love this hat, came to me via @mmbarnes
