The Polar is always a treat to see Matt. Looks like the snow is slowly melting away. Have you got your straws out yet?Adam THE POLAR.
Merry Thursday.

Thanks, I like the stingy hats from the end of the 50s and early 1960s. The newer hipster hats, not my style. To quote an old professor of mine about History...Wish I looked as good as you wearing a stingy.
I want to come and see the new building, I was at the USAF Museum in 2006. Airplane Geek Mecca!Yes,the museum was awesome.Been there a couple of times since then.
Does cubicle guy look like this? FYI... he might be trying to disguise himself by not wearing the hat. Don't let that fool you.Pretty sure they put most of them on contract. I think the fellow a couple of cubicles away is one.
That is an extraordinary looking felt. The texture and sheen jump off of the screen.Today gray and damp day, only now early afternoon the sun peeked out from the clouds
This hat has one of the most incredible felts among those in my collection
It is soft and almost silk, easy to form but difficult to keep in shape, reminds me of some old Borsalino
Flechet Pilote premier qualité Impermeable. Color is Caniche
Color is another interesting feature that I tried to highlight with photos
The finish is very short and shiny hair (this finish in Italy is called "ferro francese")
Probably made in the fifties or early sixties in France in the Flechet (founded in 1859) facility in Chazelles-sur-Lyon near Saint-Etienne
I want to thank you with my heart for the kind words and appreciation
Have a nice Thursday
Gorgeous pattern on that cap. You stay warm and safe friend! This afternoon and evening I have been out and about in a Cordova Cap. Pendleton wool goodness is been even working in our sleety, rainy evening weather. I have been chopping the ice build up at the foot of the drive as it will freeze and snow will be present in the morning.
Be safe and happy.
Best, Eric -
Smooth and clean Harv. Love the crease on this pretty hat.7XCB

I feel safe with you at the helm of our defense Jim. Hats safe for democracy!Happy Thursday from deep in the bowels of Wright-Patterson AFB. Today, I'm working hard to keep the world safe for democracy (snicker) under America's, and the World's, Finest Hat (TM).
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Not bad looking for a Chinese made fedora. Does it have reasonable quality?Ugly day here in the South. Brown 100% fine fur (sic) Chinese made Fedora.

Thanks CRM. It certainly is one of my favorites. That is a very nice looking hat, I dig the finish.
You wear it well!
That must have stunk. But... It could have been a lot, lot worse. When they bust out the probes, yer gonna have a bad time. That 's funny about the "greys".Considering I was abducted(but not probed) when I was young.
Thanks Mike. No straws yet. Hopefully, more real cold coming next week. Yippee! The Polar is always a treat to see Matt. Looks like the snow is slowly melting away. Have you got your straws out yet?
