Been under the weather the last couple of days. Must be the warm-up that's got me down.

Speaking of "weather"... This Weather Hat Company "Pikes Peak" homburg made by the late Art Henderson (I reckon in the '60s) in Colorado Springs, CO was on my doorstep this afternoon. It's a great piece of work.

I purchased the hat in an auction last March. I was a bit nervous about wearing the bold color and it had some condition issues, including what appeared to be dried glue spots on the brim that I couldn't do anything with. I sent the hat out to Bob at Black Sheep. He cleaned up the glue pretty darned well, blocked it, and gave it fresh trim and insides.

I am not dispeased with the results.

Now... Got some pages of hats to catch up on.

Enjoy.

That's certainly a statement hat.

Hope you're feeling better. I was getting ready to send out a search party.

HaHaHa...
Statement: "Look! That guy's a jackass!"

I was also thinking along the lines of pimp hat. Now... Gotta find a groovy cane and coat to go with it.

Thanks for the "feel better" wishes. Happily, I seem to be about back to abnormal.

Have fun.

Beautiful hat,for what looks like a beautiful day.Enjoy both.
Thanks DM. The days are beautiful, but complete out of season as warm days in springtime

That subtle ribbon-to-felt color variance is killer.
Thanks SR. You have to praise Borsalino old workers for the ability to put together colors

Daniele that is a beautiful hat. The felt just makes me want to reach through the computer screen and touch it.
Thanks Richard. The type of this felt is the "ancient" Borsalino peachy touch, even now they have it, but not so often like in the ancient days

You treat us to what seems an endless parade of fabulous hats, Daniele! Please don't stop.
Thanks Stefan, I try to do my best, but it is not easy.
However I believe that in the coming weeks I will try to make a mixture between Italian "every day hats" and French De Luxe and more humble hats. We'll see how the cocktail will be:rolleyes:
But you too, Stefan, get busy in the parade of unforgettable hats

Thanks gentlemen.

I'm surprised at how much I dig a red... I mean a "pomegranate" (way to class up the lingo, Danielle) colored hat. I suspect that it is going to get a lot of head time.
1940's Caxton is my hat of choice today. This one is a "Twelve Fifty".

That $12.50 looks like $1,250.
