Sunday funday...

Out looking for whatever it is that I'm looking for with the Julius Garfinkel & Co. homburg and the denim jacket my dad painted for his weirdo teenage son.

Let the freak flags fly.

That denim jacket is a museum piece. Freak Flag indeed. Always love that Hommie! Have a splendiforous day Matt.

Another of my conversions. Resistol Stagecoach. This one in Silverbelly with a nice tall crown and wide brim. It's one of my favorites.

Not a very good picture but it gives a good view of the brim curl after flanging and a good look at the crown from a different angle

Some film noir from "Murder My Sweet", with Dick Powell, Clair Trevor, and Mike Mazurki. Great hat movie...

I love those proportions. Looks great and I would never have known it was a conversion if I hadn't seen your other work. Very nice!

Looks great. I had an Alessandria in the 80's and just never felt it fit me well - the crown being so high, but you do wear it well.

Now, I'm gonna take an opposite approach and post a pic of a very nice hat (Best Made Company - Stetson 6X) that simply does not work with/for me. (That's why I have it on the Classifieds).
Way too wide a brim and a little too Western for me. I see others here with similar wide brimmed Western style and they happen to wear it very well. Me, not so much, or rather not at all. I think if it doesn't sell soon, I may have the brim trimmed a bit and just keep it.

Love the Marathon, happy to see it. Looks like you are ready for the day.

Bold color contrasts on that Whippet Bob. I like it.

The color and lines of this conversion are just perfect. I need one of your creations.

It is a nice looking hat. And I'm with you, just not a western look kind of guy. It probably will sell, there are lots of guys around here who look good in this style.

Only ventured out for a quick errand this morning. Wore my Stetson Royale Deluxe late 50s fedora. This hat is light as a feather, works well for fall/spring wearing. Now I'm hunkered down finishing a research paper on the Espionage and Sedition Acts of WWI. I can do a 12 pager standing on my head, just put it off too long. Now to decide what hat to wear when I deliver it to campus tomorrow.
