Catching up this morning after a long night scaring the populace of Albany. The Monteith Historical Society (an organization I'm involved with) sponsored our annual "Trolley of Terror"! I narrated a tour of the Victorian homes in the historic district, telling ghost stories of the old houses. They all seem to be haunted from spirits of the late 19th century! Didn't get a chance to recognize all of the great hats yesterday, but I did look and like most of them. If I missed someone, know that I am in awe of your greatness!

Of course, I'm a sucker for a beautiful Homburg, but the Leica Velour also gets my vote. Each are stunning examples.

Always look at the bright side of life Karl. I can't seem to remember so many big storms hitting Ireland in the news. You guys are the new Florida!

Gills! Beautiful lines Harv.

Great series of images. That hat is perfect! My favorite lines for a hommie.

I need a water resistant hat today, pineapple express giving us 4" of rain today and tomorrow. Can you overnight this beauty to me here in Oregon?

Crown!

That is one of the most interesting vintage colors I've seen. That guy had a real sense of style. Put a flower on his grave...

Perfect crease, that rake should be somewhat aerodynamic. Great overall look, you have style my friend.

i'm still drawn to that ribbon color with that felt. I might have to steal this combo.

Super nice, looks like it is from the 1930s.

Classic Daniele. Even in photographs, the quality of this Homburg jumps out. Love the taller crown.

I do love your Strat Samuel. Not scary at all.
Thx Red

I don't think that it is your imagination, Stefan. And I agree... that's a good thing.

I'm a homburgophile and love seeing the form break free of the stiff, formal cultural bonds that have shackled it for so long. My thought is that it works great with casual attire (especially with a pinch in the front of the crown). Lots of folks around here masterfully pull off the look.

As for the ribbon color on the Vita-Felt... see my response to Mike just a few minutes ago.

I think that "all" is the appropriate decision.

What a great group of hats!
Ha!

Thanks Michael. Homburg Man... I think that those guys are @mayserwegener and @Daniele Tanto. I'm but a dog at their feet eating scraps!

Plus... I'm not that nice of a guy and I got my law degree from a correspondence school advertised on a book of matches: The Jollyfat's Weehauken School of Legalizificating.

I am in Virginia Beach, though.
Matt, thanks. Homburgs for me are the next step in hats and a form that all loungers should embrace. And I agree: Mayserwegener and Daniele are the uncrowned kings of the form (although I suspect there might even be a crown or two in their vast collections).

Another grey London day in Verona

Dunn homburg in black, surely made in GB some years ago

Stefan gave me it in EU hats exchange and I started a little bit to love the English hat ;)

Very well made with excellent finish is on the stiff side of the road

So elegant and formal that is the right hat for a Saturday like this.
Thanks for the likes on the Stetson Absinthe.
Buona domenica!!!
You wear it well, Daniele. Good to see it in action. We all love the Italian hats, but the English did make some fine hats too back in the day.

Yeah... their collections hurt my brain.

If I recall correctly, you were giving a great looking brown homburg a whirl a few days ago and it looked great. I can't wait to see more from you.

Have fun.

Stefan to be out of doubt about what I put on my head, I open a box every now and then.
I choose and above all I keep all the hats, except someone, in my office so no one can avoid counts and ratings of the number of cartons and hats included, although the family has long been known about the collection. Impossible to hide!
The Resolut is my choice. Complimenti!
Daniele, thanks. I know the problem: slowly but surely hats start to pile up everywhere around the house. I don't want to neglect a single one of them. The family is very understanding; as a hobby its fairly harmless:)

Matt, thanks. Your memory is correct: it was a Knox brown homburg a few days ago. I'll rack up the others for their place in the sun (hopefully).

yeh, the river shannon bursts it's banks all the time in heavy storms but now it's world news. There are also some man made reasons such as mainly a wildlife sanctuary that needs to be dredged through causing it but...

Karl, thanks. We think alike: it was the heather I took out for a stroll. Careful with the sanding: you're still recovering aren't you?:)
I was watching football all day. (-:

Love these blue borsalinos. Nice job on the creasing, Karl.
Thanks, I'm gone all centre dent these days
