Good on you! As a fellow "Non-traditional Student" I salute you. Oregon State University, Class of 2012, B.A. in History, Suma Cum Laude. Returned to school after 35 years in the working world as a regular shlub!
Whoa, don't know how I missed the important part of the post...
Congrats on the wonderful news!
Are you making him or her a tiny little porkpie yet?
Quite a proper gentTopper day with the Arno Weiske opera hat...

cheers bobGreat look!
...With two adults, two birds and two rabbits, the house is fairly cramped -- but we'll have to make room for one more soon!...
Congratulations to you both, and to Mrs. Blue and Mrs. Garner! Have either of you started a pool yet to see how close the doctors will be to their estimated February 3rd and February 6th delivery dates? And what about a hat fund? Gotta' take care of the important stuff, you know.Congratulations my friend!!!! Very exciting news. It does look like we will be experiencing the same thing around the same time as my wife's due date for our second child is Feb 6th. ...
Thanks Doug. Not much chance of keeping cool at 94 with a heat index of 110. I actually put on my Hi-7 for the last couple of trips outside because no sweat evaporates anyway, so no hotter than a straw when it's like this without a whiff of a breeze. Needless to say, I'm not spending any more time then necessary outside.Keep cool, Michael, in that coconut frond hat! You certainly look cool!
Great looking hat Red, and feel free to let that cool and cloudy weather slip this direction.View attachment 79692 View attachment 79693 You know you are a hat crazy when you smile at a cloudy, cool day in July! Great morning for a lightweight felt and errands.
Nice find Wesslyn. Looks like the same model as my Pilgrim thin ribbon. Do you or your friend have a list of brands, models, sizes or a website?Just scooped this Pilgrim up today at an antique shop. Stay cool, folks!

Another beautiful, rare bird. Amazing!Royal Stetson genuine balibuntal... perhaps a moisture shedding parabuntal?
You guys are sure getting hit hard with the heat and humidity. I don't envy you one bit. Nice straw, though!97 and 44% humidity = heat index of 106. Another straw.

It's a mishmash. I think I'll head back tomorrow and try to catalogue them.Nice find Wesslyn. Looks like the same model as my Pilgrim thin ribbon. Do you or your friend have a list of brands, models, sizes or a website?

I'll take any 7 1/4 that you find. That is unless they think they are gold and set the daily market price! It's a mishmash. I think I'll head back tomorrow and try to catalogue them.
You're a 7, right?
