Another fabulous cool morning. Supposed to hot up a bit this afternoon, but for now yesterday's new hat is today's old hat. Wormser,

I don't know what hat or cap will be accompanying me on today's bicycle outing, but I am sure it won't be this one.

Looking sharp, Michael. Enjoy your ride today.

Thanks Willebe. I hope today's ride will be good, if somewhat warmer than the last couple, but I fear for my life between home and the body of the town on every trip due to a mammoth road construction project. And I know the times are a changin', but in my neighborhood any carbon fiber frame is high end. Ha ha.

If you'd have asked me, I would have said that was a Cavanagh edge. Is the underwelt that good or is it just my dinky little iPhone screen?

Either way, I want to join that club.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

it is executed well ... it is a pretty simple underwelt though ... nothing fancy

Sounds like you have it made! Oldest system I've used was when I was serving. We had a .50 from wwii... was our best firing .50 as well haha. I need to slow the hat thing and go get a ccw and handgun for the time being, with a rifle down the road. That 1898 sounds sweet!

Good call my friend. The CCW, handgun, and rifle are all staples. Yeah that 98' Carbine sure is a hoot. Not many of them left aroud

Lookin good, the shoes are Killer
The 6.5 Creedmore sounds interesting, anything like a 6mm and out to a 1000yds...???
I shoot mostly Precision Bench Rest 22LR at 50yds, One hole 5 shot groups measuring .150 c/c, occasionaly 6PPC at 100 & 200 again Precision BR all custom rifles, Shilen barrels...
Thank you sir. Yeah the 6.5 Creedmoor has a pretty cool origin story and Hornady formally released it in 2008. It works perfectly in an AR platform and allows for the bullet to be seated out longer. We have a different range that does go out to 1000 and I have had great luck there. Shilen makes a great product

The curl! The crown! I love it. You rock it well.

View attachment 77771 View attachment 77772 Spent most of the day at the range on my day off in this old sweat stained work horse! Cleaned up when I got home for supper on the town and went with the Norwood Stetson again. My plan is to recycle the outfit tomorrow for work but bring out the big guns with the Penman/Brent Black Panama.

Looking absolutely tops again today, good sir.
