Thanks Charlie. This "panacool" hat is a go to hat on humid days. Airy, light and durable to the elements.

The facial hair started when I got some poison oak on my chin and need to stop shaving for a few days. Next thing you know it is one week later. Where it goes, nobody knows! My wife is traveling for the week and I suspect if it is scruffy in a week this adventure ends.

Be bold and let it grow. Tell her it is a happiness experiment. That bought me enough time to get past the scruffy stage and into the full growth no going back stage.
