I'm in more or less the same situation.
My current contract expires om the 30th of april. I hope to find something new very soon.
The economy is doing better, but the insurance market (my area of expertise) is lagging a bit. Fingers crossed.

But now that you're back on track (5-6 months out is NOT bad; great, actually, for a senior executive like you!) we're looking forward to all the new hats you'll be getting to celebrate. On Friday I picked up my Bluegrass Green Camp Draft from Texas Hatters who changed the ribbon and brim binding to a copper colored ribbon for me. This is one of my favorite hats, but it was not getting much head-time – but adding the contrasting ribbon should cure that. Another great job by Texas Hatters! I also re-creased it to a diamond over the weekend.
