Thanks guys. Opposite end from the hat, but they could very well be fur felt. It sure seems like it. Made in England some time in the dim past. It's impossible to find spats that fit in my shoe size, so I was amazed when I got these buttoned and buckled over the Weejuns. I try on every pair I see. Ha ha.
