Fantastic Alan.

What is that hat you are wearing as you await the little critter's arrival? It is a real beauty.

Lately I have not been posting in this thread regularly since I tend to wear the same hats during the work week, but I do mix it up occasionally - like today with my black 4X beaver western made for me by Texas Hatters in Lockhart, TX, about five years ago.
Wow that is a nice one!

Yup.
How many times does anyone want to see the same old boring Camp Draft on me?
I like plopping it on my head as I go for the door each morning, it is my go-to lid; but I would much rather see what all you ladies and gents plopped on your heads when you went out.

And I have to add, I love our ladies posts! You are so artful and elegant. I look for you every day.

Wow! Certainly looks quite nice, Ant.

What does LE stand for and of your vintage brood, what would you like its quality to?
thanks Matt

not sure what LE stands for ... Limited Edition possibly ?... no idea

... and it's really hard to say which quality it is closest to as far as vintage ... not really like anything ... probably most like some of the mid to late 50s stuff.
it is surprisingly soft and malleable ... much more so than any other modern Stetson I have handled ... I do with it had a touch more crown ... if it did it would be the perfect modern hat , if that exists

Well... That explains an odd phenomenon... Sometimes, when I see your photos (especially the one from the infamous "BOWL INCIDENT" of happy memory), I get the distinct feeling of deja vu.

I think that there might be a minor glitch in the Matrix's code for you. Does it have a quality control department? If so, do you have the phone number or website? I'm happy to get in touch to help resolve the problem.
Sure, I'll pm you the phone number of this collegae of mine. Guy's called Neo. He really thinks he's the one....

62 LO in Camp Draft, 7-3/4 to 7-7/8 for vintage.
I have quite a few vintage hats that I can't bring myself to subject to utility wear.

Good to know our big-domed brothers, SD! I'm about your size, (an XLO, actually) and feel exactly the same... it's hard to put real wear onto one of those impossible-to-find vintages. It has taken YEARS to find the ones that I have. I only have about thirty old-timers, and I'm not about to get them gooey!!

NOT vintage, my VS oxblood...

I dressed up today, just because (I guess to the amusement/delight of fellow bus and metro riders). Must agree with Joao that a wide brim does make an impression.
Thank you for the kind comments to my (much seen) previous hat.

Hey all!
Great show of felt today and every day. Except when it's straw of course.:)
It is a daily struggle to NOT wear this Brent (or it's brother from another department store the Pilgrim) just because it is such a great looking and well made lid. Today I gave in. Sorry other hats on the rack...maybe tomorrow.
Brent Airlite.
