Great ribbon job Greg, I like the contrast.

Thanks, Perry.

Looks good Greg!!

Thank you, Harv.

Of course, we get to see the fantastic boots! That hat looks pristine for all of the issues you mentioned. What did they do for the verdigris green slime? Great hat Greg!

Thanks, Mike. The verdigris stain went all the way through the the felt and I cleaned it with white vinegar and gave the hat a gas bath. Remnants of the stain remain. It had eaten some of the sweat stitching and the reed and the felt was thinned on both sides of the hat. With a little creative stitching and a patch with some thin strong cloth an contact cement I was able to save the sweat and put the hat back in the rotation.

Hard to sneak around in those nice boots Bama. They look in great condition for 50+ years old.

Thanks, Bob. They don't come off the shelf very often. Original soles and heels.

Thanks everyone for comments and likes.

Good morning, gents. I'm new to the site. Still trying to find my way around. Today's hat is a Stetson no name.

Hope everything went well with the Doctor. Love the color and lines on that great Borsalino.
Thanks on both counts :)

I think it almost froze on the hat. It certainly did on my driveway and car. The vest, coat and pants are all Filson. I'm glad I'm feeling a little better too. ha ha.

Thanks Celia. I am hoping that in a couple of days I should be done with it. And I have recovered enough to be able to peruse the fine hat collection here.

Thanks,
Michael
Good to hear it. You know the hats here will aid your recovery ;)

Nice wide ribbon and perfect pinches Celia. Love the ribbon/hat color too.
Thank you! That Borsalino made me embrace brown hats (better late than never).

After a bad trip night I walked on the streets of my youngness

No chemical or natural propellant and even alcohol, only a sleepless night and waking

I thought of a thousand things that have vanished this morning with the sun and mild temperatures

I am happy in the photographs because it is the only way to take off the bad mood

After the walk I'm ready to sleep, but it is too early:rolleyes:

Thanks and thanks again for the positive comments on the homburg Thibet Luxe

SUPER style, Daniele!! Another great look. Sorry about the poor sleep. You should have called me to chat, as I was awake most of the night too. Late night hat talk!!

Tried out this Borsalino homburg without side dents this morning. I do like the way it looks on its own, but the hat just doesn't sit right on my head and makes my face look too long. I think my skull's got the wrong shape for it. Or maybe it just needs time getting used to...

It's -4C here, so I'm reverting back to my furry hat for the rest of the day before my ears freeze again...

Take care of those little ears, m'dear! The Hommie looks super by itself, but it's difficult-to-impossible to determine the fit to your face as pictured...
