Thanks for the hat parade folks! Great hats/lids the past week.

Unfortunately it has not been hat wearing weather in my neighborhood.In our on-going Polar Vortex cold spell I have not been wearing a fedora. Caps under a hood have been the norm of late. Today the high should be around -2F.

Here is this mornings cap (Damian Monsavais French cap) in the -8F temps.

Wearing my favorite "everyday wear" hat - the Akubra Stylemaster.

My man, you are dressed for town. Sharp look!

If I braid or tuck my beard I get a totally different look with any of my hats than I do wearing it combed out.

I agree with the minimalist look for eyeglasses. I don't understand wearing the latest designer frames with a vintage looking fedora or western hat. The shape of the lens has to work with the shape of your face also. So minimalist is definitely the way to go.

I hear you. With my, ahem, extra weight... my face is rounder than it should be. I prefer rectangular lenses to try and offset the roundness. Heaven knows I don't want to accentuate the roundness! Another reason I keep the goatee/short beard going... to make my chin look like it protrudes more instead of disappearing into the "roundness."

Thanks Charlie. The fabric is just unique. Newer cap, not new. Damian had the vtg. blue fabric and the French 2 piece cap was a nod to showcase the unique fabric. This style cap gives a "big" flat surface to enjoy the pattern, weave and color.

I hit the wall at 60 in a couple of weeks. No weight loss stories to report however, maybe in the near future?
