Lobbia Borsalino in a cold morning for the week dedicated to "Antica Casa di Alessandria" production
It arrived from Italy in bad condition. It was sold in Bratislava (Czech Republic)
The paper label was ripped and it not readable
From the liner it could be made before WWII (It is my presumption)
The color is for sure "Mirtillo" and the ribbon is original like the curled brim with some damage
BSHW did the restoration in a superb way
The felt is thick and very malleable
This Lobbia (as we call this type of hats) was a big dilemma because I did not know if it was worth to restore it, then color and shape convinced me.
Mirtillo (blueberry) is one of my favorite colors of Borsalino production

Probably more info than you care to know, but as of the early 1960s, Byer-Rolnick produced Resistol, Kevin McAndrew, Churchill, and Luxureze hats. It also appears that they made some store brand hats. Sad to see such quality wither away.

Sigh....I'm happy to read your comments on the Imperial Stetson. It is an unusual hat in both marks and color, happy that you enjoyed seeing it. The Imperial lives in its original box - one of a small number of hat boxes that I keep for storage on the top of my hat shelves. I prefer to keep hats out where I can see them and remember to wear them. Another hat that I keep in a box is this furry Flechet, one from an incredible NOS find by RLK. A beautiful sunny day calls for a beautiful hat.
