Cool 40'F morning found me wearing a vtg. Stetson Avenue (green felt).

The hat joins my afternoon fedora, Gannon Wanderer (granite felt) and a Cordova Cap in the backseat of my auto. I will wear the cap and jacket home later tonight when it is expected to be in the 30'sF.

90 degrees here in N AL this afternoon and I almost opted for a straw. Instead I broke out this narrow brim Dunlap that I don't wear much anymore because as we all know, as the collection grows, so does the brim width. Great display of hats today.

Keep that hat in the rotation, Greg! Perfect proportion, and we all need some "variety." Stunner!!

Hey everybody!
Absolutely beautiful day here on the NorCal coast. Aloha shirt and Homero Ortega Cuenca make an Autumn appearance.

Hope you all are having a great day as well!
Nice Cuenca, Moe. Mrs Fed and I were able to tour the Homero Ortega factory and showroom in Cuenca during my first trip to her homeland. It was a great tour and I learned a little bit about toquilla (straw) hats. If we end of retiring in Ecuador, It will either be on the coast, near Salinas, or in Cuenca. Great city with very friendly people and wonderful markets, shops and history.

The picture I use in my avatar is from the tour. Those are stacks of straw bodies ready to make into hats.
