Im sure you kno Mike can reblock it so it fits right and reflange the brim to yer liking. He does have some cool flanges. Is the hat worth it though?

Not sure. It's a rather stiff felt, though not as stiff as a Western hat. It cost all of $50 at a time when new Stetson Temples were $75, so I have very little invested in it. It's pretty much a beater at this point . . . but I like the belt-as-band style.

Mike is converting a Stratton western into a front pinch outdoor hat for me, kind of like a fedora with heavy western felt and a 3" brim. We spoke yesterday and I think I'm going with some buffalo leather instead of a ribbon on this one. My custom pecan fedora should be ready about the same time.

We'll probably drive down next Friday and make a day of it. Lunch, hats, movies.... whatever... the works, LOL!

Stetson 25 for me.

Caren tried on some hats in the western stores - I could get her a custom made for the price of a lot of the low quality retail hats to be found

Stetson Stratoliner Latte Milan : Or as I like to call it The Truman Capote.

Weird sized brim if you ask me. Either too short or to long. I had to really alter the natural shape of the front. Reminds me of my regular latte milan by Stetson with a slightly larger brim with more curl to it..

It is not. I think it is sun fade over the years. Either that, or a cleaning accident.
