Oboe, Bassoon and any other double reed instruments are hard to play well. Good for you. I played sax, clarinet and (ahem, not so well) the flute. I miss playing and actually bought another alto sax some years ago but never played a note before I sold it to my brother and then my brother-in-law in Ecuador for his daughter.

Hot and sunny here today. One of those days so hot, your hemp milan starts to spontaneosly vape...or at least that's the story....
No hemp ON my head but a Parabuntal.

Oh, and hot for us on the coast is 75° When it occasionally hits 85° we dry up and blow away....

A few years ago I introduced my fair-skinned mosquito-magnet wife to repellents that contain Picaridin. It is very effective, and unlike products with DEET, it's not greasy, nor does it damage plastics or synthetic. It only smells slightly citrus. I don't know what brands are available on your side of the pond, but here in the states most of the repellent brands have products containing Picaridin; Off, Sawyer, Natrapel.

We signed our ketubah only in the presence of the Rabbi prior to the ceremony. I'd assumed it was always done that way.

When I was married in 2002, we signed our ketubah in a private room in front of our Rabbi and our chosen witnesses.

Donna and I took the slow road home across New York State. We stopped in Skaneateles, where we bought our first set of dishes 42 years ago. In Woolworths. What a joyous week.
