In the morning a Thoroughbred bitten by moths
Hoping to catch a break of the heat today.
The forecast says rain and cooler temps.
By far my fav parasisal.
It's a good tight weave but extremely lightweight. And a pure natural color.
It's a good hat.
Needs a reblock though.
I like the crease and brim shape now too, for a western. The issue being that I am not too western. Unfortunately it is far from done, though remarkably improved from the filthy and crushed state I got it in. Both the lining and the sweat need to be reattached and there is still some sun fading or dye pooling that needs some thought. I do have the original horsehair braid. I'll probably be putting up a question in the Q and A thread and/or in the Conversion Corral.I like the crease and brim shape as it is. If it were mine I'd put a thin leather band, a horsehair band, or a beaded band with a Native American design where the ribbon would go, and call it done.
+1 on the Sunbody Palm leaf for an outdoor work hat.Sunbody Hats has a couple of versions of that hat in straw, and I think I've seen them with the brim binding. You could ask them about it. It has a 4" ventilated crown. I"m a big fan of theirs because they're sturdy straws, particularly good for outside work, etc.

Now that my daughter is driving I am also relegated to passenger status. IS THERE A PROZAC THREADNow that my son is driving, I'm (anxiously) relegated to the back seat for the weekend trip to the beach.
"Blah blah blah..."

It still has a great amount of appeal regardless of crown height!
Atwood Nevada. I'm still not entirely happy with the shape, and I wish the crown was about 1" taller. Decent hat though. I'll tweak the brim a little more later.
You should come here.Hoping to catch a break of the heat today.

No one, but I've seen them and almost decided to get one but... no.Who asked you?
It's a long hair moth bitten felt and since it's a bit bad, I left it as it arrived to me and gone to the work/sweating hat pile.I like the style of that thoroughbred, Jaoa.
Sos... Lol. Lmao.Yada, yada, yada...
+1
Great looking straw, HJ. I've been wanting one of those.+1 on the Sunbody Palm leaf for an outdoor work hat.
