Cool day in Minnesota. A wool jacket and a Gannon fedora are my companions for the morning.

My autos backseat is full of hats. I will make opportunity to wear a couple this afternoon and commit to bringing them inside tonight.

Thanks for all of the nice words about the Knox yesterday.

More importantly, thanks for all of the great hats and fellowship. I spent yesterday at the hospital waiting while my wife had a several hour long scheduled surgical procedure. Surfing the lounge and awaiting everyone's fantastic daily hat helped me pass the long wait in (relative) tranquility and good spirits.

Today, I am (hopefully) going to bring that very sore lady who is kind enough to tolerate me home from the hospital. For that, I am going with the blue Dobbs Fifteen. View attachment 41635

I'm sitting here in the hospital with my wife (who is doing well, thanks for your good wishes) and she thinks that it is more of a midnight blue than navy. She says it looks "celestial". I trust her color judgment better than mine. Here are a few shots in some different lighting conditions

Is it just me, or would moon's beard fit with chain mail, a helmet with horns and a big a$$ battle axe?

No thin ribbons or slim brims today. Gotta wear this new to me lid that arrived yesteray. I tried a few different bashes on it, ended up going back to the one it came with. It has a couple of spots on the crown, I may leave tem as "age spots"
