Fruno, smokie is a cutiepie! Love the fact she just hops around like that.
One of my friends had one called flake ( like snowflake) and he would try to climb on your lap etc.

She has been known to terrorize the cats, as well. Interesting animal to have around. Not at all like you'd think. Smart as a whip, and ain't 'fraid of anything.

Mayser, the hat is great but the dude in that ad rocks!
Fruno, that is probably my absolute favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon. I was wondering about Smokie's name mostly because if her name was Dalton, your plans for her might be a bit more "downstream"...:D

Here's my Friday night work hat. It's a RedHead Lite Felt wool number that I picked up a few years ago at Bass Pro. I consider it my beater hat, especially since my Chihuahua got ahold of it and chewed the leather band and the front of the crown one day when I accidentally left it laying on the couch when we left the house. DOH! LOL!

We are also making a move out of the city.
Our yard won't be as stunning as yours, But we will enjoy having it none the less. Yes, the whole in walking distance is something nice to have.
But in reality we are boring people who don't really go out that much :D

How do you all like His new hat?
I'm more used to making women's hats, so any comments are very helpful.

I like it a lot. Taller crown, wide brim. Very nice.

Esther--I have a soft spot for wide brimmed hats. It looks good. You should make more hats for men.

A couple of standouts for me today, not that they weren't all pretty nice:

Alan--there is nothing more to say about the Fray. It speaks for itself.

Steve--another amazing Mayser.

moon--classic Stetson Twenty, such a great example of post-war American hat making.
