Tommy ; thank you!
The colour is actually called denim. It's a very dark blue. Depending on the light it can look a bit greyish/black.

Josh; wowza! That looks fantastic!

Moon; really love that look on you. If that is your garden I'm very jealous!

Wow!!! That's amazing.

That is the thing I loved the most about the USA.
The sense of space is astounding ( at least to us)

Don't get me wrong, living near the city centre has it's advantages but that much greenery is amazing.

"Stetson 7X Clear Beaver from Hanny's/ Phoenix."[/QUOTE]

Alan, that's fantastic, and it has some meaning to me. I grew up in Phoenix. Dad bought me my first quality Stetson cowboy hat at Hanny's. It was our go-to store for suits and fine clothing back in the day.

Super job on that conversion Josh, Joao will be sad though.

Thank you SO MUCH everyone! I really appreciate it! :yo::yo:

Perry, Joao will be quite saddened by the brim trim. I did leave the brim at 2 3/4 inches wide.....that's kinda of wide......

Stetson 7X Clear Beaver from Hanny's/ Phoenix.
Hm. I also choose a 7XCB for today.

Joao, the big black Stetson's are glorious
Thank you.

Today i'm wearing a 50's/60's Stetson 3X Beaver western that I recently converted into a western-esqe upbrim fedora.
It used to look like this...... (sorry Joao)

oh man... :(
That is not wide, not wide enough for me.
Kind of sad as I expect one day to have a 3X like that but untrimmed and those keep being trimmed...

I got this hat the other day at eBay. According to a very faded stamp, it is made in England for Marshall Fields, and is 60% Wool, 40% other. It has a moderately stained sweatband. I'm not sure when it's from.

The hat has no odor, but when I first got it, it smelled slightly of cologne/perfume.

The hat has a 1 7/8" brim. I quite like this hat. All I hope is that there is no ringworm in it.

The hat being worn.

Hey all!

Got caught up on The Blacklist last night, that hat Red was wearing reminded me quite a bit of my Chilla from Manila. So, not really needing any actual excuse to wear it other than remembering I have it, it was the Lid o' the Day.
