You would be too. Their felts are almost finished hats. Little work necessary!
Cheat shantung or not, still a good looking wide brim western.

Not as wide as my Tom Mix, this one doesn't reach 5" wide. If I make holes on the brim, it would let the sun go through and blind me making it useless
I sewed the sweatband the way you do and it works great! Thank you Terry, you made my work on this hat easier!

Hey everyone!

Today I chose to wear my own handywork, but with a new ribbon. I really like the grey one I had on it, but this 1 1/4" black cotton/rayon one is growing on me.

Looks good with these vintage (well, somewhat vintage anyways) Ray-Ban Olympians too!
