That's a stunning hat David... a crown jewel of a hat for anyone. Good to see it again.

Charlie, a fine thin ribbon Borsalino is no slouch hat either. Beauty.

Eric, thanks for the ride. I can picture a couple of gym kids with ice cream cones in that backseat.

Great, great hats today Gentlemen!
DJH that 7xcb mode edge is a real standout among many today! What might that have cost back in the day?

Back to my new Royal Stetson today
Some hats you buy for the brand or quality. I bought this for the color which I found inside-Seal.

Nicely creased and worn Fed LT.
Love the hat and cardigan mix Sam.
Sweet little Borsa Alan.
Charlie, the TAR suits you well.
Eric, you look ready for any hat style emergency.
A beauty of a Stetson Tommy. I too like the color.

Sorry for the abundance of caps lately, I feel almost off-topic! This one arrived about an hour ago from Keith. 1940's embroidered auto upholstery. More pics in the cap faction.

I got dressed up to go shopping, then my wife called to cancel our date. I might go see the Hunger Games III, as I'm on vacation today and tomorrow....

Thanks, Harv!

Two-day catch-up!

David, I like Tuesday's bow on the Tumwater.

S4C, that Royal Stetson is really sharp. I can see why you like it, liking the Champ too. You wear them super well, and I always look forward to your pictures!

Charlie, that Werner Hilton looks like a great grab-n-go hat! Thin-ribbon-Thursday's Borsalino ain't bad either!!

Alan, the curve on that Barbisio Homburg makes it look lighter than air. The natural light helps me get an idea of what looks to be the velvety texture of the felt.

TJ, I agree with the others - you really carry off that tall crown. Looks totally natural and owned by you!

Sam, I like the way you have that CRM hooked up. BTW, are the boots Wolverines?

Joao, I agree with with Dale was saying about the Tom Mix. You own it, not vice versa. You kow, that is one thing that I have learned from everyone here. When a person first gets into hats, they have a feeling that they'll be accused of playing dress-up. But I have seen that here, we integrate hats with all kinds of outfits, and they don't have the costume look.

David, I also like the ribbon color with the Stetson 7XCB. The two colors complement each other quite well, in both lighting contexts. Really sharp!

Tommy, I'd like to see some more photos of that Dobbs 20.

Perry, nice to see you again! I'd like to see more photos of that Rene Menard.

Harv, again, I like the 15. Not only the color, but the shape looks like an almost perfect fedora-Western crossover.

S4C, doesn't Harris Tweed rock?

Lt, that Fed IV has one of my favorite bashes and brim curves. And you are rocking it!

Eric, is it just the lighting, or is there a pearlescent pink color to the VS Wanderer? I like it!!

Tommy, I know what you mean about buying for the color. "Seal" - that is a big color for collectors of A-2 jackets.

Perry, I've been back for about a week now. And then today and tomorrow are v-days too. Where I work, I get a generous vacation allowance. But we're so busy, I can't always take time off. So at the end of the year, I have to take more time. If I don't use it, I lose it....

Hi GregNYC. They're Red Wing Beckmans. I would definitely notice if someone were to enter a movie theater dressed as nicely as you're dressed. I've said it before but your cap collection is impressive.

Sam, wow, if my EE feet could only fit in those Beckman "D's." I had a pair about 10 years ago, and had to sell them. Since then, I've kept my eye out, even during trips to Japan, and have found that they're made only in standard width. So I went with the Wolverine Thousand Milers. They're a bit wider, they aren't as nice as the Red Wings....

Red wing has some of there heritage line available in ee widths. The Iron Rangers are one that I know of. The thousand mile boots are nice too. I picked up a couple pair of White's boots recently and I'm considering selling off some of the Red Wings due to how much nicer they are.

Joao, Yup. Looks like your Tom Mix beats out my Stagecoach for the tallest crown award. I do like that smaller brimmed Nutria, though. It looks good on you.
The black Tom Mix is the highest crown I have.
About the Nutria... :\ I wish it had a bigger brim. It looks weird a hat with such a stingy brim (3 1/4")...

This morning, my Stetson 7XCB Mode Edge
Nice 7XCB.

Joao the Tom Mix hat is a cool hat, no way around it. It's a great looking hat and you carry it off well, looks totally natural. I see that style around here occasionally, and almost always the guy has on the whole "old west" get up to go with it, which looks fine for a concert or trip to the bar, but seems a bit over the top for just popping in the grocery store for a six pack.
Thank you. I do have heard nice comments about it around here.

T.Jones another good big western worn totally natural. It works for you. You pull them off like Joao (and Alan does too), like a guy wearing a cool hat, not like a hat that is part of an outfit.
;)

Thank you! I love my westerns and I wear them to any place I go.

For today this navy blue 3X beaver Stetson. I think I need a wider brim in the morning because of the sun being so low.

And by lunch when I was searching for the navy blue Billy the Kidd, I stumbled in this Stetson No 1 Quality I didn't wear for some time so why not?
