Joao, during the week I can't often change hats in the middle of the day. I commute and wear the same hat from 8:00am to sometime in the evening. So I like the 2-hat/day pictures, and appreciate the different moods even among the same Western genre... BTW, I don't have any Western hats here in NYC, but I grew up wearig them every summer in Oregon. My grandfather wore silverbelly Open Roads to town, but a variety of others on his ranch and out hunting. Western films are one of my favorite movie genres, and one of my favorite pieces of literary criticism is about Western literature (Cawelti's "Six-Gun Mystique").

Eric, I can see the "gill" bow model in your back seat - love it! I commute on the subway, so no hats in the back seat. But the last time we did a road trip, I hogged half the storage with hat boxes!!

Because I work near home, I can lunch everyday in my parents house and if I have to work in the afternoon, I can change hats.
Today for example was a 3 hat day!

In the morning I wore this "silver" Stagecoach.

Because I hadn't gone to work on the afternoon, I went to the bank so I changed to a... "more stingy" hat, this Stetson No 1 Quality with 3.5" brim and thin ribbon/cord as I didn't want to scare people out.

And after that I went on a drive with a friend to pick up another friend 100 kilometers away so he could return to his home in Scotland tomorrow, I changed again to this good old big black Stetson from the 60's.

3 different occasions (work/bank/drive), 3 different hats (Resistol Stagecoach/Stetson No1 Quality/60's Stetson)
