Alan & Perry - the wall is part of a tower on Canterbury's City Wall - Medieval, restored a fair bit over the years http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canterbury_city_walls It's handy in that I can rest the camera in one arrow slit to take a photo of the opposite side
