It’s the wide ribbon not very common on westerns? I think it is that and it’s wider brim that pulls me to it. I have to fix the brim of the other Stetson and compare the two.
It's both the wide brim and the tall crown that stands out to me the most...and I do like the wider ribbon work on that as well. Westerns are the only hats, IMO, that look good in black.

Thanks for the nice comments on the old Stetson from Justin. It has the benefit of many years of good wear which is why, I think, we get along well together.

Nice hats, especially the westerns. Thank you for the nice comments on the Portis. It was my Grandfather's (by marriage). That would make it one of my more valuable possessions.
