TJ, sorry, we both post to the same time. Thank you very much for your kind words.
I want to give it back, that compliment! You look sharp in every Fedora you wear my friend, you have the right face
to wear hats. Like the sweater you wear today too!
Not a problem at all my friend....and thank you for the compliment.

casechopper, you're definitely a Newsboy Cap guy. You wear them very well.

MoK, I'm not a Black hat guy but I have to say you've hit another home run. You're looking pretty slick dressed in Black my friend.

mayserwegener, thanks my friend. I appreciate the compliment. You, orangegrad, and MOK must have that special look to where you guys can look good in Black clothing and Black hats. That's a good looking hat my friend.

Hello again, everyone. Thank you for the compliments for the last hat! I appreciate it a lot.

casechopper: Very nice beret in a great color. Looks good on you, too :) Also love the newsboy, love the tweed.
ManofKent: Great look all around! That hat suits you just fine and you look so at ease with it. The Olney loo
Chepstow: Another great look from you. I'm digging the hat and the coat!
DJH: Beautiful cap. It suits you very well.
RBH: Good lookin' hat. I dig those thin ribbons a lot.
tomb101: Love the color!
Short Balding Guy: Lovely ribbon and edge binding. A real beauty.
bowlerman : Nice homburg! Makes me wish I owned one
T Jones: That western looks very nice, man!
mayserwegener: Great black hat!

Today I wore a Van Bree hat I won on the 'bay to church. A little big but nothing too bad..

Maybe the whole look is a little too "gangsters".

Occasionally I wear some decent clothes ;) Wedding for some dear family friends called for my Cavanagh Homburg and a spiffy diamond tip bowtie which I need practice on!

Today I had the opportunity to wear a couple of hats. The Stetsonian is a big green hat with a mode edge. Very cool.

Wow... what a collection of great posts and cool pictures!

Just returning from a trip to Savannah. I brought two hats and a cap. The weather was warm but not too humid... perfect straw weather. I was a little concerned about bringing a straw after September 15th, perhaps with good reason. I didn't spot another straw boater all week long. Thankful I didn't start a riot.

Don't try this at home

The other hat I brought rolls nicely for travel. I carried it along in its original box, but never did wear it. No worries - it folds and unfolds like a charm. The secret is in the grosgrain sweatband on this Borsalino Pocket Hat. I have several Borsos that arrived in these boxes, but I never reroll the hats with leather sweats.

Steve - very nice Habig

HamilcarBarca3 - Nice proportions on that Van Bree, you wear it well.

Jared - Neat homburg, and the bow tie looks fine - hand-tied bow ties should look hand-tied, too neat and you might as well go for a ghastly read tied one

Blazerbud - You look very relaxed :) Nice bash.

Eric - Two beauties. Great shade of green on that Stetsonian.

g.d. - Lovely!

Alan - Great boater, and that rollable Borso is an amazing travel hat.

Thanks for the comments on my cap today, guys. This is a piece of headwear that I really enjoy wearing - it was previously owned by fellow lounger Baron Kurtz and I'm really happy he decided to part with it.

Great hats all around today - I love to browse this thread, although I don't always get time to give every post the comment it deserves.

Like Alan, I brought a Borsalino along on a trip - I'm here in Las Vegas on business for a few days. My Cobolt Blue Borsa isn't a true rollable, but it is flexible enough to fit into the cool little box when needed.

David - I've considered one of these Borso rollables - even a new one if i can't find a clean vintage in my size. Do they really hold their shape after a stay rolled up?

Again I'm wearing my VS Wanderer.

My first attempt at making Native American style jewelry. Simple heishi shells and ghost beads. I did not make the Thunderbird ring.

Andy, I like your Wanderer.

Yes, the Borsalinos pop right back into shape.

The vintage ones come up for sale from time to time so watch out for one.

Mine isn't intended to be rolled all the time, I think we figured out they were shipped in the triangular box and then would be kept unrolled.

The only thing I worry about with mine is cracking the onion skin material over the liner. So far so good...

Well, my mom told me not to stare at the sun and don't you know it's the first thing I go out and do... it's great to be able to roll a second hat for a travel.

I think I'm the only person on earth who's never been to Las Vegas. Enjoy the trip, David.

For the comments on the beret: Thanks Manfred (Lovely Mayser homburg), ManOfKent, Jeff & T Jones.

For comments on the tweed cap:
Thanks ManOfKent there's something very 60's rock star about your outfit yesterday. It looks good on you.
dh66: My kids are all still small, once they get bigger and heavier it'll be a different story.
Thanks Mayserwegener, your collection is one of the most impressive on here.
Thanks T Jones, HamilcarBarca3: The hat doesn't look big to me. Nice overall look.

Nice CRM Mingo Slim!
Very nice combo Jlee!
Beautiful hats Alan.
Love the Wanderer Andy. I'm going to get a hat in that style some day.

I was there once, NOT willingly.

After a loong weekend in the woods, (three and a half days) there were about 15 more pages to catch up with on this thread. Suffice to say, ALL magnificent hats, gents.
