Thank you, Andrew, and welcome. I appreciate your candid comments.

I will post many more photos of landscapes as well as subjects I find visually compelling in a more appropriate thread, FEDORAS AFIELD, when time permits.

My hat selection for this trip is limited to the three Montecristis I brought along, so I am afraid my hat portraits will be somewhat repetitive. As far as virtually identical portraits, they are a manifestation of my affinity for photo montages.

Your hats are always top shelf. Your photos are always sharp. Your narratives are succinct. AND now you have shown the wisdom of Solomon. Well played Al!:eusa_clap

Joao, I hope the the new improved nose is healing well. Good to see you back.
Thank you. The doctor says it's healing very well. Just need to keep washing it inside with sea water.
Next week she will remove the stitches inside.

Joao, hope you're breathing easier at night.
Joao - Stetson looks good. Hope you're sleeping better.
I think so. Don't know if I still snore. Thank you.

Glad to see you on the pages again, Joao! And a beautiful hat!! :eusa_clap
Thank you, I love it too.

Jao, too cool, my friend!
Thank you ;)

Today I returned to my beater, the Buckskin Resistol Diamond Horseshoe. It helped me keeping the sun out of my nose.

Lost a bit of weight because I'm at a cold liquid diet (it feels good because we are in Summer season now).

My pics here are usually of foreign travel, but last week Mrs Blackthorn and I visited the Gold Country of California (some of it, anyway). We hit Sonora, Jamestown, Angel's Camp, and Mercer Cavern.

My favorite model in front of the place we had lunch, dating back to the 1860s:

We visited the "Mark Twain cabin." We were all excited until we read the monument, which admits the cabin was built in 1922, many years after Twain was there. Oh well. Here we are:

David - Ribbon looks great with the black raybans and polo.

Robert - great boater, and a perfect ribbon for the shirt.

AL - more great photos and a great hat

Sam - Looking good

Joao - a very nice beater!

Perry - Next time I think we deserve the mask too :D - Looking good.

Alan - Beautiful Milan - lovely grey colour

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve & Manfred - thanks for that I'll defer to your experience on the age, it was certainly worth what I paid, even if the shipping left something to be desired.
