The little guy there is "too cute" for sure! Geez, I notice the cap, really nice, and I am peeping out that brown leather jacket as well! I have one that sure looks related to it?

JonnyO - best hat here. A nice vintage fedora probably wouldn't be much help in a blazing building.

Love that photo, Che!

Borsalino for me this morning

Steve, Alan, Alex, Jeff and Al, thank you very much for the yesterday comments and kind words about the Wegener.
If anyone is interested, to see the hat after the brim cut and new brim flange, here are the photos!

before, with 2 3/4 brim

after 2 3/8

That is the flange for the brim. relative flat on all sides with a slightly up in the front and back!
My guess you could steam a wide brimmed hat over 2 7/8 to a Homburger.

That is a Stetson curl Flange, looks similar to my Flange

HT, great Falcon Park, looks good!

Mike, fantastico, sharp hat, the 100.

John, also a stunner and also a Falcon Park!

Thanks Job it is right up there. I am in love with my new Akubra right now but when I busted this Whippet clone out this morning for WAR Wednesday I was reminded how good of a job Parker did on this lid. Enough about me your Falcon Park is killer this morning as well. I love the thin ribbon and binding combo. Looks awesome

danofarlington, delectans, DJH, and Chepstow thank you for the kind words!

bowlerman: thank you, I figured if I were to post it I would at least have to make it sound like it was a fedora

LoveMyHats2: Thank you for the story about your grandfather, what he said still lives on to this day. Fire Departments and the firemen are just like one big family.

Che: Looking good, great to see you posting again!

DJH: Beautiful Borsalino, I would love to have that one myself!

Historyteach: Great looking FP, are the ribbon and the binding the same color?
