Nice hats, Mike. With the beard you are ready for the harsh Florida winter as well :)

Back to the office after the long weekend. Adventurebilt this morning.

Thanks DJH, Randooch, Chepstow, Historyteach24 and Jeff. We had a great time.

Rodkins, out of all of the recent hats I've seen that Stetson Riviera Nutria is one of my favorites.

Thanks for the comments, guys. The hat box says "Marv Rubin Marriage Hat January 8, 1946" and it has his initials on the sweatband.

Thanksgiving Weekend

A light snow fell on Black Friday morning. Pre-1946 Mallory 'Twelve-Fifty', in 'Snow'.

Picking out travertine for our fireplace project.

Unwinding at Barnes & Noble after a hectic day, with a cup of hot chocolate and a good read.

Getting ready to head out on Saturday morning. 1920s-1930s Miller Hats heather finish 'DeLuxe Quality'. Miller Hats was an early St. Paul, Minnesota hat maker long since defunct, and not in any way associated with the multitude of contemporary businesses of the same name.

A St. Paul ensemble. Vintage topcoat made in St. Paul by Gordon & Ferguson.

Chilly Sunday morning. Early 1940s C&K Knapp Felt DeLuxe Quality Twenty, "Sutter Club". That is a mouthful.

Dragged off to the Mall Of America by Lydia Sunday afternoon so that she could meet personalities from her favorite HGTV shows. We stumbled upon this fairly new addition to the mall.

Catching the twighlight showing of 'A Late Quartet' at the Edina Cinema to conclude our long weekend.

Chilly morning in Minnesota. It has warmed up to 13'F when I was out doing yard chores and a dog walk. No fedora this morning, just settled a cap on my head and bundled up.

Hatto, that Biskup is really sharp.

I'll add my voice to the chorus re: your Riviera, Mike; that looks great on you, as does the upbrim B100!

Eric, you must think of earmuffs in weather like that! I wear "Earbags." They work great.

Al, well, what can a person say? Smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth!

You rock that Adam, Javier.

David, how long have you owned that Adventurebuilt?

Al- There are not enough o's in the word smooth to describe you.

I think that sums it up well... I love how you meld the modern specs with your beautiful old hats. Not an easy thing to do and you do it seamlessly. :eusa_clap

I have a lot of catching up to do after a weekend on the road. Mike, thanks for sharing the link to that great 40s Vita-Felt. I must have missed that when first posted. Rare beauty!
