David, I really like that Stetson 25. I don't think I've seen that one before or at least not with a cattleman's crease.

Our weather has been wonderfully mild for weeks but you can't fool the Dogwood trees, they are in full fall blush now.

Crisp morning in the upper 40's didn't seem to suit the new Camel color Tumwater hat so my favorite Chocolate Brown Tumwater comes out for the first time since the Camel one arrived. It is the hat I consider my most "dressy" so it's kind of an experiment wearing with a casual shirt and windbreaker but it works for me.

Al, Alan, Perry and Sam, thank you very much for the kind comments, you know! Your comments are very appreciated.

Al, that is the right place to spend time. I see we have the same passion. I love thrift shop, antique stores and flea markets, too.
Wonderful photos, my friend and the Hats you wear, fantastic.

Tom, sharp Hat on your Head, looks very good!

Sam, yes sir, fine Hat the Hückel, I am a Homburg Fan!

Brent, nice Hat the Tumwater, ribbon, color looks really good!

Perry, you are the OR King in the Lounge. How many Open Road's do you have?

David, unusual for you a Cattleman Crown, but it looks sharp on you!

AnA, I hope, that you are, ok. maybe you feel a bit better next time.

Steve, a beauty Habig, I think you are with right a bit proud about that!

Alan, cooool Cap and a beauty Gay Prince yesterday. I hope you feel better now.
I have a Parcel at the Customs, maybe I have time to get it, tomorrow. What can this be??:D

Manfred, I am giving a nod your direction this morning! :yo: I'm a little nervous about the flat caps, but trying to give this one another chance. It's a Dobbs with a silk or grosgrain inner sweatband, brown with flecks.
I haven't heard the end of it from my wife since I took it out of the hat room last evening-- I wish I looked as cool as Manfred in this cap, but according to "SWMBO" I am officially a Newsie...

I don't see anything wrong with it B'man. It fits well with your other clothing.

I can relate to the lack of understanding on a wife's part however. My wife grew up in a ranch area and she thinks anything less than a 3" brim is stingy. Whenever I wear any hat that's even close to stingy she begins questioning my sexuality...[huh]

Good morning, everyone. Thanks again for the "get well" comments. Still under the weather, but better than yesterday. Now for my comments to you for the past couple days...

seabass - Terrific Stetson, looks great on you! Brim down for a change; nice.

JonnyO - I like the Lee. :thumb:

hatophile - Your Adam is a really good looking hat; looks to be in top condition. And I love the OR today!

Chopper - How many pumpkins did you wrangle? :) Nice homburg today. Looks very soft.

Jeff - Do you have more caps? That looks great on you! Very cool cap, dude. :eusa_clap

Eric - The VS Executive is always a treat; and that's no trick!

Mike - Stellar hats; though, I think I like the Borso better than the 100.

Manfred - Cheers for the cool cap! That looks fantastic! :thumb:

Al - 2 incredible lids; the Trimble is very special. Those dimensions are near perfect!! That has made it to my TOP TEN list!

Alan - Glad you're feeling better today; the GP looks great!

David - Nice start to the week, 2 wonderful Stetsons. :)

Mayser - Another German stunner!!! Where do you find these beauties???

Brent - Love the Tumwater. Thanks for showing it off.

gtdean - You wear that Resistol very well.

Cheers to everyone! Hope you have a great week!! Falcon Park for me today...

Thanks, guys. Sam-- that is too funny! My wife would be thrilled if I looked like this: http://www.pixmac.com/picture/cartoon+of+boy+with+baggy+pants+and+baseball+cap/000087312722
And any other hat whatsoever causes her to question my sexuality as well, and all these selfies for TFL have led her to a diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Ha!

The self-shots do cause a bit of concern for my wife as well. When she gets a bit weird about it I just let her know that it's a hobby. It's not like I'm trolling in parks or public bathrooms late at night. Then I try to find photos of Alan with his wife and daughter or Delectans with his family and say "Look, it's not a man-love forum! There are people with wives here!" Then she looks back at me with a strange expression and says I'm overdoing my defense [huh]

- Just kidding, she doesn't actually say any of that though she does occasionally question the amount of time and money this hobby takes. I counter the financial aspect with the fact that most of my purchases end up passed on as I only want to keep the hats that will get regular use.

My wife sees my pics on my phone and usually says, "Really??"

She has also diagnosed me with NPD. :yo:

My collection of women stopped with 1 which keeps both of us happy. I did not use my hat collecting strategy for finding my wife though that seems to be a popular method these days.

Back OT: AnA your Falcon park is great and it's made me look at my own hats and realize how important the brim flanging is. I really like that flat brim and hadn't realized that I really like that on some of my hats that have it. Only 2 pumpkins were wrangled.

Better you collect hats than women, eh Sam?

I've noticed that a lot of Parker's hats on his web-site have flat brims, leading me to believe that he mainly uses a flat flange. On vintage hats, I do end up flattening the sides, somewhat, while still keeping a noticeable rise to the back. I've gone back and forth with some of my hats, but yes, I do prefer a flatter flange overall.
