Manfred, I like the color on the Borsalino. I don't have a velour yet.
Perry, I don't see many TAR Knox around. Cool Hat AND tie.
David, Love the Emerson. Not enough blue hats out there.
Dean, Very nice Statoliner and pin.
Casechopper, I am partial to westerns and I like everything about this Lee.

My addition to Tar-day is my FPH bone colored fedora.

Today was a change of pace. I don't put this one one as often as it's kinda beat up (got plans to get it fixed up) and the color isn't the greatest. I'm glad the paint held up fine under the rain.

I can honestly say that this is the first painted hat I've seen. it looks neat, but it is it meant for an every day hat or more of a presentation piece? is it an oil based paint?

Rob - super place for your hat. I hope you all enjoyed the evening out.

Dinner was perfect, we went to Rick's Prime Rib in Rochester, NY, but seriously the 44oz prime rib was a little ridiculous, but my 12oz bacon wrapped medalion was magnificent!

that is one classic photo, i love the composition.

grilling last night and enjoying one of the few remaining fall evenings. it's a Stetson Royal sovereign (sp?) that I think had a brim trim before it came into my possession, its dirty and beat up, but it's become my outdoor "chore" hat. the felt is thick, but really soft / floppy but with a little water it retains it's crease well.

Stetson Temple, I know it's low crown and tapered but when I was told by my doctor to wear wide brim hat's my Son and Daughter hand picked it out from a hat shop in downtown,Scottsdale, Az. It holds a special place in my heart being my first fedora!

Sorry to be silent... travels and projects have me buried... here is a grainy shot taken during a talk today. I was wearing a 1940s Stratoliner.

Those Strats are such classy hats. Looks grait even grainy, Alan. Hope your travels are going well!

I was feeling tired and somewhat ornery today, and went with my Montana Peaks Gus hat.

A whirlwind tour led my orchestra to the Black Hills over the weekend, where we played in collaboration with a Native Lakota drum group for Native American Day at the Crazy Horse memorial. I wore my well-worn Stetson 25 OR all weekend.

AlanFgag--TEDx; I'm impressed. My sister-in-law helps organize TEDx Austin. What did you talk about? Oh, and nice hat!

That hat commands respect, even from the considerable distance where I sit. I'll have to google your talk; I'm sure it's at hand. :)

Jeff, you chose the proper hat for such a mood.

Tom, the fact that your kids chose and bought your hat makes it just right!
