Nice VS's Tom and DJH.

Beautiful Wellington Bowlerman.

Thanks Randooch and Neo. Neo, I didn't cut this one down but the trim job was well done. I haven't ventured into hat surgery yet.

Today Selentino Velour (I believe this is of Tonak manufacture?).

Sam, looks good the Sqcatter, man, what a swoop. You wear it great!
Yes, that Velour is from Tonak ( Hückel ) and looks outstanding!

Tom and David, I know is Friday, Art's time. great hats, guys!

Perry, your OR goes well with all. Sharp hat!

Alex, looks similar to my Mayser from the 50s, but your Color looks better. Stunning!

I love the Wellington. I drink the Whippet Kool-Aid and some of the Whippet-like hats are better than the genuine.

Yep, you'd better be cozy with the sweater. It will likely be the item your wear under a medium coat by this weekend.

It's true. Really cold this morning!
I'm appreciating this Wellington more and more, though I think the dimensions, both crown and brim, are smaller than a real Whippet, though it's certainly not lacking in quality. I did, however, have to replace the sweatband. Aureliano did a great job on that for me awhile back, and he was kind enough to block it into a long oval and minimize a few moth bites.

Jeff, I don't know what's in that bowl, but you might want to replace it with something tastier. ;) I like the autumnal sweater and Wellington combination!

Sweetened generic granola cereal with raisins! :) Sorry for the scowl on my face! I look goofy when I smile. heh.

gtdean-- remarkable consistency with a slurry of really fantastic lids!
David, I'm already envious enough of your collection, and you had to break out that sahara... stunning.
Sam, are you pretty tall? You've got a great and formidable presence with that velour today. Awesome, powerful-- I wouldn't mess with you.
Perry, that's one of the nicest creases I've seen on an OR, perfect balance with the brim shape too. Very erstwhile.
Joao, you wear these westerns more naturally than just about anyone I've ever seen. Way to go, man!

Jeff is correct - cool this morning in the upper mid-west states, USA. The temp during morning chores were just into the 40's F. In a couple of weeks folks in my neck of the woods will be back to wearing sweaters, no jackets, as we grow accustomed to the cooler temps.

Fleece jacket and my Penny's Marathon kept me comfy. The Penny's Marathon is a sage green color. Truly a minty green and a minty conditioned oldster fedora in the OR inspired genre.

you guys are looking sharp.
I'm off and mowing the yard today - it's an acre. So I'll be wearing a beater tee shirt and even more beater Resistol straw as I ride the lawn tractor.
But it was a glorious hat when it was younger.

WOW Alex, it doesn't get any better than that! That hat is simply stunning!! How tall is the open crown?

As I get more familiar with the color of my new thrift-sweater, I've been enjoying my Wellington today.

Today I'm wearing a 60's/70's flat cap. I believe it looks a bit older, but its not actually that old. I've never found a flat cap that I thought looked good on me until recent. I bought two flat caps from Robert this summer and they are by far the best fitting caps I have ever worn. Thanks again Robert! I'm also wearing my navy blue cable knit shawl collar cardigan that I recently got. Its about 56 degrees in Chicago today, but I'm as warm as can be. :)

This cap reminds me of my Great Grandfather and the cap he wore in this picture from 1920's Chicago

I bought this on Ebay a while back because I thought the bow looked interesting, and finally got around to wearing it.
