Today is my Stetson Twenty. I got my head shaved for a charity on St. Paddy's and as a result this is the only hat, to my eye, that doesn't look on the large side. It's a neat old hat who's crown takes and holds whatever shape you're pinching when to pop it on your head. It's the widest band of any hat I own, with the cool little wind trolley and "mode edge".

I can't figure for the life of me why I can't right this pic. Sorry.

I can't say if I'm completely happy with this style. I prefer stingies and this brim is a smidge over 2 inches. I didn't spend a lot of money on this lid, it's from Village Hatshop. I loved that I spent less than $50 to get a fur felt hat and experiment with the style. I guess I'm still trying it out.

You sure know how to wear that hat!! Man, it looks like Perfection!!!! It also helps that you have a natural finesse not even a picture could take away when wearing that fedora.

Great hats everyone! I love this thread.

Kiltie, that Stetson 20 is fantastic! Very nice color contrasts on that one. :eusa_clap

Bolthead & Ortega, I am digging the stingies, guys! I am also a big fan of the porkpie look. Here is my new stingy Cavanagh. Strangely, this is the first black hat I have owned. It has a center dent in this photo but I changed it to a porkpie earlier today.

Thank you. I have to admit, the pork pie has been growing on me. I wore it out tonight with a black jacket to have a beer with my friends. I do think I want a better quality version, but perhaps in another color. Maybe two- one stingy and one with a 2 inch brim!

Thanks again. I stopped buying hats due to post-Christmas finances but I'm looking to pick up a few lids. Stingies are always at the top of the list!

THANKS!

Thanks V-Man & Metro. Getting to be a bigger fan of that hat, too. Today I was back in my San Antonio, so no pics. Getting to be pretty consistant straw or light felt weather here in Tx., during the day. New excuse for a new hat!

Thanks, Bolthead! I like your style, too. It's nice to know there are still fans of the short brims out there.
Here's the same Cav as a porkpie and the pot lid I used to shape it. lol

I am going to wear my silk top hat and outfit in my avatar today. I get bored of only wearing my collection(which I will keep buying more of) wide brimmed grey fedoras with tight pinches.:D Every one has been remarkably nice and thankfully acted surprised when I get a similar looking hat with slightly different dimensions that only I can notice. Just keep acting surprised and you will have friend for life.

Great idea. I never thought of using a pot lid before. I always hand bash my pork pies. :eusa_clap

Today since it was rather warm, and I had a little yard work.
It was my Stutzman Harvest straw, with a 2 3\4 inch brim.
This is a real goofy photo but its the only one I have. :D
