Say "Cheese"! The lapel pin is pretty new, too. It's a Fender Rhodes. I got it for this hat, but I ended up not wanting to poke a hole in the side, nor did I want a pin back pressing into my temple. I need a third hat. Panama or Bowler - I like both now. One day.

Sadly I don't know of any custom hatters in this part of the world (apart from costume hatters), and it's not the sort of job that you can do at a distance. I would not be willing to send the old hat overseas for copying.

Yeah, he has an old Royal Stetson too but he has to keep it put up most of the time. He wears either his Target straw hat or a newsboy cap just about every day. He's 4 years old.

Thank you. I didn't do so well on the color accuracy of the felt in the photo. Its really a medium gray, not a beige. The ribbon is closer.

Thursday Night

Smuggler's Cove, San Francisco, five or six excellent tiki bar drinks into the
evening. jimmy the lid and feltfan, in green Borsalino "Alessandria" (as they
are called here) and 1942 Stetson 5X (by request), respectively.

A great evening- well worth the next morning. There are tales to tell,
but secrets never leave the Smuggler's Cove...
