I was fortunate enough to get to eat and drink there at a convention (not MY convention). Free Steak and beer is much better than the same steak and beer you paid for.

Yesterday, stopped into one cool in-a-Golden-Era-space bar - The Campbell - for a cocktail with the girlfriend. The lighting made it hard to get good pics. The first two pics are ours from yesterday. Putting hard liquor in eggnog is pretty common (at least in the Northeast US where I live).

I like rum or whisky in it, but any of the "brown" liquors work.

Picked up a couple insulated stainless growlers (for the daughters' Christmas) from a local brewery. The price was the same whether they filled them or not, so I'm working on emptying them as no one wants a growler with 12-day old beer in them ... right? Started with Black Walnut Wheat and then will move to Float Trip (a wheat based blonde ale). Probably not all tonight.

The clarity, and lack of head left me with doubt. However, the flavor and 9% abv won me over.
