Yes, it came with it so went with it. Used real maple syrup and orange bitters for the mix. I have never done anything like this before so it was trial and error. But for the first time not a bad tasting drink. Week two sample was sweet but after the third week it leveled out.

This ended up being quite delicious. It's a somewhat sweet cider with elderberry from a great local source. Blake's Hard Cider Co.'s Flannel Mouth is also very good. I've yet to try their Catawampus or Beard Bender ciders.

I went to the local Trader Vic’s out here----purportedly the original one----and had a Mai Tai. They screwed it up! The originator of the Mai Tai screwed it up! :doh: It was terrible! I ripped them up one side and down the other. A Mai­ Tai is not a frou frou fruity drink. It is just rum, orgeat, orange Curacao, rock candy syrup and the juice of one lime. Aside from lime juice there is no other fruit juice!


'Maita'i roa ae!' So don’t screw it up.
