Armenian Brandy that I purchase from a Russian liquor store up north in the Denver area. "Cognac," as the Russians call it, thought that's not technically correct, since it doesn't come from the Cognac region of France. Still, the Armenians make some good brandy. Winston Churchill had a preference for it, I understand.

About a glass of chardonnay one night, then about a glass of burgundy the next night, both while chatting into the wee hours. Somewhere in there was a delicious G&T made with diet tonic bought at a grocery store, enjoyed with NY steak and some chili limon chicken. Fever Tree need not tremble, but this was one good drink.

Boston Sidecar. Equal parts cognac, triple sec, and rum. Add juice of one-half lime. Shake, pour, and enjoy.
