Old fashion. Mad men style
Is Madmen style the same as regular style?

Yeah, I usually start there and end up with 3/4 part vermouth, 3 parts Templeton, and as many splashes of bitters as I can manage to hit the glass with... its never just one drink...
Okay I did it.
I got the variety 6 pack at Kroger.
You make your own, choosing from 15-20 different beers (from what they had on hand).
Four are dark, one is a pecan Stout, and one is a Killians Irish Red (I always liked that).
My reviews will be daily, as I drink each one to see what it tastes like.

Lots of eggs too
Sugar, bitters, splash of club, or water, swish around edge of glass and add rye or bourbon and ice. Don't know if that is regular or mad men, but I just call it mad, think it sounds cool.
Tullamore neat...
Lot #40 Canadian Rye Whisky on ice again tonight. I am eager to try its cousin Pike Creek Whisky. It is from Windsor Ontario where my wife's family lives. We visit often and my wife's brother lives on Pike Creek Road just up from the massive Hiram Walker storage shed compond.
I enjoyed the Pike Creek promotional video on their site.

My boss did the "bourbon trail" recently and was talking about this one. I had never heard of it but it does sound good.Recently arrived in the good old NH booze stores. They actually have a decent Bourbon selection, usually at decent pricing.
