Nothing was as good as PBR, but some were good. Really didn't care for the aftertaste of some of them.

It seems as if very few find that there is an aftertaste and that it is nasty. The Sierra Nevada Brewery is nearby and very popular, but I never have enjoyed any of their brews, they all had the soapy aftertaste.

Soapy?! Uh, no thanks. I just finished some Duvel, no soapy after taste and it went well with some chili---with lots of BACON.

It's too bad, because some of the beers are very good. I couldn't even wash the aftertaste from one out of my mouth with other beers. The other big complaint everyone there had was that even if the beer tasted good, it smelled skunky.

I know you sleep on that mattress loaded with gold doubloons.

I have never had that problem with decent beers. Maybe he just thought they were good beers. If they smelled skunky then they are probably past it or didn't travel well.
