Yes, I've heard of its medicinal properties, and have a bottle in the cupboard (read freezer), just in case. Unfortunately, it always appears to be hiding behind the "Stoli".......which also comes in useful!

I take it you're not a fan of bourbon then? I like bourbon, and single malts (especially those from the Islay's), but give a wide berth to blended whiskies.

While it can be filtered thru charcoal like Jack Daniels the interiors of the barrels usually have a toasting to light char which doesn't give it a burned or smokey flavor but more of a vanilla and caramel flavor from the oak barrel.

Tastes burnt to me.

The difference being that the burnt wood is in there with the whisky. They use the peat to dry the barley(the smoke gives it the peaty taste) not stick it in the barrel with it.

I would bet it's rather skunky. Beer doesn't keep well in aluminum. Besides, my cans'll be worth more in the future if they be full. I am thinking of Buying Schlitz next time I'm out.

Beer that is of the low end 3.2 to about 5 percent do not age well, high end alcohol brews can usually be aged.

Skunk tends to be from being light struck only so cans are better protection than bottles and brown is better that green in glass for beer protection.

A friend of mine brought it over and we shared the rather large bottle. I have no idea where he got it or if they have anything else by them. [huh] For free, I'll take it though. I did notice that is double the proof of regular beer.
