That's a good one, but you know what I like best about that show? The bronze Pontiac Firebird.

The theme song perfectly reflected Rockford's character: a bit tired, a bit cynical, but somewhere deep, there still beat a moral, kind, optimistic heart. The car, too, was Rockford: the low-end model of an everyman sports car, purely American, a little underpowered and little tired, but when it had to, it had a burst of speed and, like Rockford, took its bumps but hung onto the road. The only complaint I had with that car was that it was an automatic - Rockford should have been a pure stick man.

Sorry mate, try this one

"STAND BY for ACTION!" "Anything can happen in the next half hr"

I have Thunderbirds Are Go.
However, I've seen Stingray on youtube and I'm just fascinated with the supermarionation.
Yeah it's puppets, but Anderson synced their mouths with the voices and made it that much more interesting.
The detail on the clothing, the furniture, and the "gizmos" they used are just amazing to me.

I'm no expert on this but I think Anderson spoke into a mic that operated voice activated relays in the puppets head.
I remember all the puppet shows from Stingray onward but Captain Scarlett was my favourite. I know he was indestructible and all that but what would happen if he was eaten by the shark in the titles.

But this has to be the worlds most recognisable TV theme tune.

Never heard of it. :D
This show was on our public broadcasting stations in the 80's, so I watched a few.
Just never got into it.
Then again, I'm not a huge sci-fi fan.
I did however get into several British comedies and dramas from that time period.
One theme song I liked was from Waiting For God.
Brilliant comedy. :D

To be honest its probably about equal to the original Star Trek theme.
