Lots of green.
Lots of green.
Here in my neck of the woods we call it a toboggan.
We call it that here in WNC, too - and we pronounce it "Toe-Boggan" with the stress on "Toe" - what Northerners refer to as a "toboggan", we call a sled.....
No, unfortunately I tend to be too large for true vintage ( 10's-50's ), this is a modern MtM job from Hemrajani Bro's of Hong-Kong and the internet. It's the second generation in a run trying to get a suitably old-fashioned collar out of them, the first gen are decidedly more 70's than 30's. I'm getting there though.Tell me about that shirt, BigBeard. Vintage?
Thanks, Adam. The hat is a Knox Jaguar. I fished it from the 'bay. It came with a feathery band but i switched it out. Some pics in the Conversion Corral.Nice hat. What is it?
Awesome suit, love it!

1st Gen.
2nd Gen.
I still want to slim the leaves of the collar some more, with a more pronounced curve on the outside edge.
Hope that helps.

Well I always heard the south was going to rise again who would have thought all it would take is a discussion over what name a "Knitted Hat"is referred to by.To all of the Southerners I would like to direct your attention to post #19342 of this thread,I would only like to add again that in the 53 years that I've been around I have never once heard it referred to as a Toboggan in Canada.

I also got a new waistcoat, maybe it's better with my stroller ensemble than my old one?
Well..that's why then.
You are in Canada...and most of us are not.
An excellent ensemble altogether; but those "bullet-resistant" double-breasted (and usually belted) coats are surely some of the best overcoats ever produced for the sort of cold spell we are having at present.1940s overcoat (no maker's label)
