SPC ECO - (brand spanking new band by Dean Garcia from Curve for those who know them). Just a single and some recordings of their first live shows from a month or two back. Stunning stuff, can't wait for the debut album.

Apart from that, some Gotan Project and some Manu Chao.

That man is prolific. Have you heard KGC (collaboration with Sascha Konietzko & Lucia Cifarelli from KMFDM) or The Secret Meeting (with kaRIN & Statik of Collide)?

Now playing:
The Dreamside - Nuda Veritas

I have and it's not bad. I'm an old Curve fan from when they started so I have a soft spot for what Dean does. Definitely have a listen to SPC ECO, if you like that kind of thing.

Toni Halliday has a new solo album coming out this year under the name "Chatelaine", she's set up a Myspace page for it, the album promises to be very good.

Just got a 5cd collection called 'Atmosphere' which is a compilation of classic French chansons from the late 20s through to the early 50s. Current track 'Tchi tchi' by Tino Rossi. Wonderful.

Ginger Rogers singing The Continental from the 1934 film The Gay Divorcee. Sounds like it has been copied from the soundtrack as it lasts 8min.

Tangoman. Thanks for the tip! It sound's wonderful!

I'm also listening to Mercy by Duffy. It's the first commercial song played on the radio constantly that I liked in years! I love going into stores and digging the music. I love that northern soul-type soul can be loved by so many today. I hope for a big revival!

And an album my friend Jimmy gave me called Rough Guide to Paris Cafe Music (I watched Amelie this weekend and feel the need to feel like I'm walking down a lane in France.)
