I'm listening to Strange Overtones from David Byrne and Brian Eno's new album "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today". I like it a lot. I saw David Byrne in concert last week! It was a religious experience.

Passed on Grant Park's Obama rally for evening coffee at Starbucks, where
Ella Fitzgerald is singing Cole Porter's Just One of Those Things.

On the same note, I just came from Starbucks with my free coffee from voting!

I'm listening to Judy Garland - "For Me and My Gal"

I always loved that Diabolical Streak album. Quite the hidden gem.
The only other Jill Tracy album I have is Into the Land of Phantoms by "Jill Tracy and the Malcontent Orchestra." It's all instrumental and atmospheric, but doesn't compare to Diabolical Streak.

My mother used to know Exene, used to hang with her for a bit in the 70's.

She was way into the 1970's L.A. Punk and Disco Scene as a teen!

Listening to two albums this morning,

José González's In Our Nature album and Nomo's Ghost Rock album.

Later I will probably listen to Matt Berry's Opium album again. Because its become my favorite album ever. Sadly, can't find much in the way of a youtube video example there.
