Sorry if this has already been posted. I'm curious to hear what y'all think of this "electro-swing" business.

Well, I suppose if one likes it...

It just amazes me that so many think that it sounds to them like Swing Music:

Note the steady rhythm, with an emphasis on each of the four beats of the measure, not the odd "Um-chuck, Um-chuck"
so beloved of the electro-swing crowd.

My ears suggest to me that electro-swing seems to be drawn from the wrong sources, but then they are prone to confabulation.

I must say that I found the animation which accompanied the two Caravan Palace numbers to be quite charming.

I had a scary thought...maybe they think it sounds better than swing music. It has the trappings of the era without that corny hot-cha rhythm they can't dance to.

Yes. Just like "Shirt-tail Stomp", which they seem to take as their model. The "Um-Chuck, Um-Chuck" two beat that seems to be favored b the electro crowd sounds quite corny enough to my ears. Just a different variety of corn. Not that there is anything wrong with corn.

Are you ready, Hezzie?

This song reminds me of what's been going on in my life.

Met a pretty gal at a local store and have found myself looking for excuses to go pick something up at the store.

A few other cashiers had no customers and I stood in line behind a guy in a rascal with his wife and two carts of groceries just for the opportunity to talk to her today. Am I a rube or what? lol

Back in the school yard days life was very simple. The big boys asked you if you liked Elvis....or Cliff.
If you found yourself sitting on the ground with a bleeding nose you knew your answer was very wrong
